The customer contacted us to handle an emergency commercial water mitigation response following a significant flash flood event. The floodwater breached the building's exterior entry points, multi-directionally expanding across the main office workspace, a storage pantry room, and an internal staff restroom. Because the standing water threatened stock inventory, office contents, and porous building substrates, immediate extraction, baseboard stripping, and high-capacity dehumidification were required to prevent structural warping and bacterial colonization.
We provided a complete commercial water extraction, material stripping, and aggressive structural drying solution. Our team began by extracting all standing floodwater across the painted concrete subfloors. To eliminate trapped moisture reservoirs, we carefully detached the water-logged baseboards from the bathroom walls and stripped the lower edge carpet transitions from the office framing. We treated all exposed concrete tracks and lower wall sections with heavy-duty antimicrobial biocide agents to combat any external flood contaminants. Finally, we deployed an advanced commercial drying loop—consisting of a Phoenix industrial dehumidifier routed with an active condensate drain line into a centralized storage vessel, paired with high-velocity axial air movers—to rapidly stabilize the ambient relative humidity and dry the concrete substrates to baseline safety limits.
