The customer contacted us to handle an emergency water damage mitigation and structural remediation response within an oceanside apartment. A major water leak breached the living space, leaving widespread standing water across the wood-look laminate flooring and tracking heavily into the wall cavities behind the adjoining utility closet. Because the moisture quickly wicked into the lower drywall and semi-porous baseboard assemblies, professional material extraction, controlled demolition, and substrate de-contamination were necessary to safeguard the structure against rot and severe mould development.

We provided a complete water damage mitigation, controlled flood-cutting, and structural drying solution. Our team immediately extracted the standing surface water puddling across the laminate flooring near the balcony sliding doors. To prevent trapped moisture from feeding active microbial colonies, we performed a targeted flood-cut, removing the lower sections of contaminated drywall and saturated fibreglass insulation inside the exposed wall framing cavity, while safely detaching and cataloguing the water-damaged baseboards layout. We treated all exposed timber studs, plumbing conduits, and concrete floor tracks with commercial-grade antimicrobial biocides. Finally, we set up balanced containment boundaries and high-velocity structural air movers to thoroughly dry out the structural framing layers and return the apartment safely to baseline dry standards.
