The customer contacted us to handle an emergency water damage mitigation response following a washing machine water line leak in their laundry utility room. The pressurized leak spread beyond the laundry room boundaries, migrating directly into three rooms, including the living room and the master bedroom entry. Because the resident works night shifts, they required a specialized restoration team capable of accommodating their strict sleeping schedule while executing rapid structural drying to prevent secondary warping and microbial development.
We provided a complete, non-invasive water extraction, atmospheric monitoring, and "dry-in-place" structural solution tailored to the occupant's schedule. Our technicians used a Protimeter MMS2 moisture meter to verify that the ambient indoor conditions were stabilized at a safe 49.6% relative humidity (Rh). To eliminate the trapped moisture across all three affected areas without disrupting the structures, we deployed an advanced drying configuration consisting of two commercial-grade Phoenix R250 dehumidifiers and four high-velocity axial air movers. Finally, we carefully synchronized our monitoring inspections around the resident's daytime sleeping routine to ensure both a continuous thermal evaporation cycle and personal convenience.
