The customer contacted us following a recent property purchase that contained pre-existing mould issues, which had been formally documented in a pre-purchase mould inspection report. The underlying issues involved systemic HVAC moisture collection and hidden ventilation defects, resulting in prominent fungal colonization on the ceiling supply registers and localized water staining inside the kitchen cabinetry. Professional remediation, containment, and systemic decontamination were required to safely eliminate the pre-existing bio-nesting and make the home safe for occupancy.
Our team provided a comprehensive mould remediation and structural decontamination solution based on the guidelines in the property's inspection report. Our team safely removed the heavily contaminated metal HVAC register louvres, thoroughly sanitizing the duct boots and treating them with specialized antimicrobial sealants to stop spore distribution through the ventilation system. We then cleaned and decontaminated the internal cavities of the kitchen sink cabinetry, removing pre-existing residues and treating the semi-porous baseboard structures to ensure a complete sanitization. Finally, we operated industrial air scrubbers with HEPA filtration to eliminate airborne spores, successfully restoring the property's indoor air quality to safe baseline conditions.
