The customer contacted us to investigate structural moisture intrusion and localized paint failure along the lower base section of their garage wall. Moisture had begun migrating upward through the wall assembly, causing the textured paint to blister, bubble, and flake away from the masonry or drywall surface. Because prolonged dampness in a garage setting can quickly encourage subsurface structural deterioration and microbial colonization, professional assessment and surface stabilization were required.
We provided a localized moisture diagnosis and wall remediation solution to address the affected masonry structure. Our technicians used moisture meters to trace the moisture path along the base of the wall directly adjacent to the epoxy-flake garage floor coating. We carefully scraped away the loose, bubbling, and failing textured paint layers to expose the underlying substrate, treating the area with professional-grade antimicrobial agents to prevent potential mould development. Finally, we thoroughly dried the lower wall section using targeted air movement, ensuring the substrate was stable, dry, and properly prepared for a moisture-resistant sealant application and future repainting.
